Sulhamstead & Ufton Nervet Church of England Primary School, Ufton Nervet

There has been a school at Ufton Nervet since 1862 and we play an active part in a thriving community with its village traditions. The school is set in beautiful countryside close to woodlands, farms and canals in an area with a varied and interesting history and has excellent facilities for children aged 4 – 11 years.
We are proud of our Church school status, and promote an ethos where children are seen as individuals, giving them the confidence and strength to believe in themselves and to welcome choices and challenges. We foster a love of learning and provide an environment and a variety of learning experiences which are stimulating, creative and motivating.

Mrs Blands Infant and Nursery School, Burghfield Common

In the mid 19th century, Horatio Bland allocated two acres of his land for building a school – Mrs Bland's Parochial School. In 1962, the new Junior and Infant School was built and the name retained. However, in 1966, the school was over-crowded and a separate Junior School was built. Mrs Bland's is a small, friendly community school offering a distinctive education to children in the Burghfield Common area. The school caters for 4 – 7 year olds and houses six classrooms, giving an accommodation level of 177. The planned intake of children in any academic year is 59. The Nursery Unit has 26 places, giving 52 part time places. The school also offers a pre-school and after-school club called FunZone. FunZone also provides a holiday club.

Garland Junior School, Burghfield Common

In June 1966 the junior section of Mrs Bland's School left the Infants and moved to the present site. The school has close curricular and pastoral links with Mrs Bland's School and The Willink. The Headteachers work very closely together with the staff to ensure the continuation of education from 4-18 years. Garland is a thriving and friendly school, well equipped to meet the demands of the National Curriculum, and prepare children for their future educational, emotional and social needs.

Burghfield St Mary’s Church of England Primary School, Burghfield

In 1872, a local landowner constructed the building, which now houses the school. Despite a fire and some alterations over the years, the main building retains much of its Victorian character. In recent years the building programme has provided modern and comfortable classrooms as well as extending the play opportunities for pupils. The aim at Burghfield St Mary's is to provide a broad, balanced curriculum which provides appropriate experiences for children of all abilities between the ages of four and eleven years.
